Aironi, addio alla Pro 12
Il club di Viadana è stato escluso dalla Fir dalla prossima stagione della RaboDirect PRO12.
Una crisi economica che dura ormai da un anno, risultati sportivi sotto le
aspettative e un contrasto con la Federazione che è cresciuta settimana dopo
settimana.
Queste le cause che hanno portato ieri la Federazione Italiana Rugby a togliere
agli Aironi la licenza per partecipare alla RaboDirect Pro 12. E, ora, il futuro
della seconda franchigia italiana è in dubbio.
"L'organo di governo del
rugby italiano ha successivamente esaminato la situazione degli Aironi
Rugby, ritenendo suo malgrado di non poter accettare le richieste economiche della franchigia
- oltre quanto già messo a disposizione dalla FIR - per proseguire l'attività .
"Il Consiglio ha pertanto disposto all'unanimità la revoca della licenza di
partecipazione alla franchigia Aironi Rugby dal Rabodirect PRO12 al
termine della stagione sportiva in corso" di legge nel comunicato ufficiale della Fir.
Che poi, parlando del futuro, scrive "E' stato conseguentemente
approvato un nuovo bando di partecipazione volto ad identificare una nuova
entità sportiva per la partecipazione al Rabodirect PRO12.
"Il bando, di imminente pubblicazione, prevede come termine ultimo per la
manifestazione di interesse il 25 aprile 2012. Il Consiglio ha altresì
deliberato che in mancanza di adeguate candidature, la FIR per ottemperare agli
impegni assunti nei confronti del Rabodirect PRO12, parteciperÃ
temporaneamente con una squadra a gestione federale".

The Viadana’s club was excluded from the next season of Fir RaboDirect PRO12.
An economic crisis that has lasted a year, sports scores below expectations and a
contrast with the Federation, which grew week after week.
These are the causes that led yesterday the Italian Rugby Federation to take away the
Aironi license to participate in the RaboDirect Pro 12. And, now, the future of the Second
Italian franchise is in doubt.
"The governing body of the Italian rugby then considered the situation of Aironi Rugby,
despite his belief that it could not accept the demands of economic excess - beyond
what is already provided by the FIR - to continue the activity.
"The Council has therefore prepared unanimously revoking the license of participation in
the franchise Aironi Rugby Rabodirect PRO12 by the end of the current season," reads
the official statement of the FIR.
What then, speaking of the
future, writes "It 'was subsequently approved a new
call for participation aimed at identifying a new entity for participation in the sport
Rabodirect PRO12.
"The notice of impending publication, expected as the deadline for expressions of
interest April 25, 2012. The Council also resolved that in the absence of suitable
candidates, the FIR to fulfill its commitments towards the Rabodirect PRO12, participate
temporarily a management team to Federal. "
